Job Description

We opened our practice 2 years ago and are now looking for a 4th vet to join our team.  We are seeking an individual with experience and first opinion capability in both farm and equine sectors but ideally someone who is has a keen to help drive the farm animal aspect of the business.

  • £45-55’000
  • Full or Part Time
  • 1:4 OOH
  • CPD open ended and 1 afternoon a month dedicated out of clinic for CPD
  • VDS, RCVS and 1 other Subscription
  • Practice Vehicle and Phone
  • Health Insurance

The role is flexible but full-time is taken as either a 4.5-day week or 9-day fortnight.  All vets contribute equally to OOH making  a 1:4 rota.  Normal Working Hours are 8.30am – 9pm.

The anticipated salary is £45000 – £55000 along with 30 days holiday (inc.BH).  We encourage you to take the CPD that is interesting or helpful for you whether that is clinical or personal development and we allocate a half a day every month dedicated to CPD during work hours.  VDS, RCVS, and one other professional subscription are paid for along with private health insurance, a business vehicle, and a business phone.

We have a full range of kit including Fertility Scanner, Bull Fertility Testing Kit, In-House Haematology and Biochemistry units, Radiography, Equine Ultrasound and 2 endoscopes (Airway and Gastro).  All of it is battery powered to allow in field diagnostics.
