About us
You will be joining the leading and largest independent poultry veterinary practice in UK and Ireland, and work alongside an established team of 28 vets and 10 field services technicians.
We provide comprehensive and independent veterinary services to the broiler, layer, turkey and game bird industries and are continually expanding due to the quality and integrity of our service, our drive to innovate and the strength of our client relationships.
Based at our Herefordshire practice, this role is part of our Wales and West Midlands team, lead by Regional Lead Vet Kathryn Stewart. The team consists of four full time vets, field technicians and office support.
You can find more information about St David’s Poultry on our company profile page, or by visiting our website.
About the role
You will be working with customers from farmers to integrators, developing strong relationships and delivering first-class clinical care.
As we are independent, this means that you will have the freedom to choose the best clinical care paths, without corporate influence. You will share our passion for a hands-on approach that focusses on proactive and practical advice.
Should you choose our internship as a pathway into poultry medicine, with a well-supported learning environment. We offer a comprehensive, practical and theory-based programme supporting the development of your clinical and non-clinical skills. You will have an experienced clinical mentor and a great peer support network.
If you are an experienced vet looking to change career, we offer an excellent programme that allows you to utilise your existing skills alongside comprehensive training to enable fast track development in your new career.
About you
You will need to have a genuine interest in epidemiology, flock health, welfare and production, with an analytical mind and an attention to detail.
You enjoy developing long term relationships with customers and be someone that is focussed on delivering a personal, high-quality service and solutions.
