  • Company overview

Helen originally set up Pawsitive Vet Care home visiting practice in Warwickshire.  Along with a couple of animal care assistants we built up a lovely client base.  However due to family reasons, Helen relocated to Worcestershire and is now setting up a full service small animal practice with an emphasis on low-stress care.

We are looking to grow a great family-friendly team to provide the pets of Worcestershire with great care.

We will keep in-patients on site during the week in our state-of-the-art Casco kennels (separate dog and cat wards), allowing us to provide high quality care.  We will be working alongside visiting specialists to provide complex surgical procedures.

  • Company values

Act with integrity – we aim to be open and honest in all our dealings with staff and clients, we will be transparent in charging

Treat lightly on the Earth – we want to be as sustainable as possible, we have an electric ambulance for visits and aim to reduce waste wherever we can

Take a holistic approach to veterinary care – we want to ensure that we take the whole animal and family dynamics into consideration when coming up with treatment plans, as well as focusing on a stress-free experience for pets and their owners

Provide an environment for people to flourish – we want our staff to be happy and enjoy working with us

  • Family-friendly initiatives at this workplace

Family is at our heart.  As parents ourselves we are keen to make working in veterinary accessible for everyone at any stage of the parenting journey.  We offer part time working patterns and understand that things can change at short notice with little ones.

We also offer enhanced maternity and paternity pay as well as a health cash plan for employees and their dependents (option to pay for spouse as well).

  • Sustainability initiatives you have in the workplace

Sustainability is a key part of every decision within the practice.  We have an electric ambulance and staff members are welcome to use our charge point during the day.  We take part in the Cycle to Work scheme, reduce waste as much as possible and encourage recycling.

  • Structured career progression initiatives at the workplace

We encourage career development with regular one-to-one meetings to discuss goals and progression.  We are keen to support staff members’ special interests.

  • Animal welfare policies and/or lowering barriers to care/spectrum of care initiatives

Fear Free is at the heart of our practice.  We are aiming to become one of only a handful of Fear Free certified practices in the UK.  We started off offering home visits and are keen for these to be available in our new practice as well to remove some of the barriers to care.
