  • Company overview

Kentish Town City Farm is a local charity that helps city people connect with animals, nature and the environment. The farm is situated on a four-acre site, alongside two railway lines in the inner London Borough of Camden. There are animal pasture areas, community gardens, a wildlife pond, and a riding arena which is presently being redeveloped.

We are a community city farm that sees 32,000 visitors through its gates every year. Life on the farm is always varied and as a trustee you’ll join a friendly board who are dedicated making sure the farm is compliant with our Animal Welfare Policy and its charitable objectives.

  • Company values

Our core aim is to give opportunity to everyone who needs support in making positive life choices; to those wanting to understand the challenges of the climate emergency and play their part in fighting it; to those wanting to grow plants/vegetables in our gardens; to those seeking the therapeutic benefits of outdoor life and to those seeking fun and relaxation in unique outdoor space.

    What we do
We provide an extensive educational programme to schools, work experience opportunities for students and farm & garden related activities for local children and families. This work is supported by the London Borough of Camden.

In addition, we have a lively core of volunteers who support staff in the day-to-day running of the farm and organise seasonal fundraising events. Young people between 8 -16 years support farm activities through our popular Young Farmers Club.

The main farm building provides facilities for visiting schools, community groups and children’s activities. In the farm kitchen, children can learn to cook using fresh ingredients from our community gardens. The gardens provide opportunities for neighbourhood & therapeutic horticultural projects and for children to learn about wildlife & growing food.

We provide amenities to visiting corporate teams and host private events. The indoor and outdoor spaces of the farm are available for hire all year round.
