Care Friends is a rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business that is addressing the recruitment and retention challenges in adult social care with a novel employee referral app that encourages care workers to refer their friends to join them.

So far, almost 30,000 care workers have signed up via their employers across the UK, Ireland, and Australia.

We are a small, friendly, work-from-home company with a strong social purpose and global ambitions. 7% of our workforce were previously vets!

Organisation aims & mission

Our company was created to help the vulnerable in society by activating the care workforce as recruiters, who are best-placed to identify and recruit people from their network with the right values for care or support work.

The whole team is focused on our mission to get the app in widespread use across social care markets around the world and help solve the recruitment and retention crisis in social care.

We have found that our team are made up of people with values that centre around care.

We know that vets who are looking for a career change fit the bill perfectly. Our Chief Operations Officer is a former equine vet.

We have a friendly, relaxed culture and, although the role is home-based we all meet up twice a year (at least) for company overnight retreats.

We value flexibility in order to ensure a work-life balance and we minimise hierarchy.

We are looking for smart, caring people, which is why vets looking to move into a new career are of particular interest. We have roles in both Customer Success (helping new clients launch and succeed with the app) and Customer Support.
