About the Program
If you’ve dreamed of working in wildlife or conservation, but shout it was out of reach, this program is for you, Maybe you haven’t found a position in your geographic area, or maybe you have thought, “I’ll never find a position that pays the bills.”
You wouldn’t be alone! Careers in conservation can feel daunting, and elusive, like an endangered species.
We’re pleased to be teaming up with Dr. Nick Askew and his team at Conservation Careers to offer a new, first of its kind veterinary program to help veterinary professionals launch their careers in conservation and wildlife.
Conservation Careers has a successful program where they have shepherded hundreds of people successfully into new paths in conservation/wildlife all over the world.
Their methods and course materials are taught at multiple universities, and have helped people in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia/New Zealand and further afield.

Step-by-Step Modules to attack at your own pace. You’ll learn the best path to follow for you to become a professional wildlife conservationist.
Support from the experts. You can choose from Community Support, Group Coaching or 1:1 Coaching. It’s your choice and we’ll be with you every step of the way.

A five month dynamic developmental programme to help veterinary professionals gain the support and clarity to take control of their own careers, and empower them to identify their next steps towards a career that works for them.
Fortnightly webinars that can be accessed in your own time
Fortnightly hour-long live online coaching discussions
Private Facebook group to learn from and get support from your peers. Plus, access to VDST and partner coaches
A workbook to capture your reflections, learning and lightbulbs
Email updates and notifications for times and tasks and support
An array of VDS Training coaches including partner coaches with expertise in CV and interview support
DISC behavioural profile and report to help understand our behaviours
Limited numbers per cohort to ensure safe and personal support as well as group accountability
- The cost of the course is £697 + VAT (which can be split into 2 payments of £397 + £300)
